Daniel Perez, painting the backdrop for De Colores Christmas float

Daniel Perez is a Santa Paula resident and a former student of Xavier Montes. He has worked with De Colores Arts Group as the event muralist for the past three years at both the De Colores Art Show and the fandango. Throughout the day at each event, Daniel creates a mural with aerosol paint while the public watches. At the 2004 fandango, Daniel used an old door as the canvas for a mural depicting a jarocho harpist. He also painted the backdrop mural for our first ever Christmas float in the 2004 Santa Paula Christmas Parade. Daniel is a talented young artist. He has always extended a helping hand to De Colores Arts Group; even with last minute requests, we can always count on his help.
