Dolores Gonzalez Haro was born in Los Angeles California. She has always enjoyed painting and creating. Dolores' paintings are a self-expression of her life and those who have influenced her the most. The women in her family have played a strong role in her life, she pulls from their strength. Her love for her Mexican culture leads her back to the rich vivid colors of the earth. Her images of woman are both powerful and mystical. Dolores lives and works in El Monte, California, where she has been attending various art classes for the past ten years. Self-Help Graphics located in East Los Angeles has helped her get started in exhibiting her work. Her home is her studio; here she can express herself thru her work. Dolores also teaches workshops for children. Lessons are in charcoal, watercolor and acrylic on canvas. She loves teaching, especially when it comes to art.
