Exhibiting Artists

Lalo Lalo Garcia with Azteca danzante
Lalo Garcia, exhibiting paintings:

Lalo Garcia born and raised in a small ranch town in the state of Michoacan in Mexico. Lalo vividly recalls praying alongside his mother, offering mandas (promises) to their beloved Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Today, Lalo extends his prayers via his art as well as his heart. He is a liturgical artist who for the last 25 years, incorporates the likeness of Our Lady of Guadalupe -- be it large or small -- into virtually every piece of art he designs.

In 2002, Lalo designed and created the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Downtown Los Angeles. He has also completed work on a 12-foot Guadalupan mural on the exterior of the cathedral visible to drivers on the 101 Freeway. Trained in Classical Realism, Lalo has been experimenting with abstraction in his most recent works.
